Zusammen mit einem OM Objektiv verdoppelt der Teleconverter die Brennweite des Hauptobjektivs, wobei jedoch dessen wesentliche Eigenschaften voll erhalten bleiben. Diese optische Einheit verwandelt z.B. ein 100 mm Objektiv in ein 200 mm Objektiv und erzielt somit auf einfachste Weise einen wesentlich stärkeren Telefoto-Effekt. Automatische Blenden und Belichtungssteuerung bleiben erhalten. Der Konverter ist für Objektive > 50 mm Brenweite mit Olympus OM Bajonett geeignet.
